Virtual Erev Shabbat Community Dinner

April 22, 2021 Howard Community

The community came together to share food, stories and the Challah’s they baked.  The board thought it would be nice for everyone to have something to tie everyone together, so each participating family received the Shabbat Candles shown above and we all lit them together.  The light they cast was warm and colourful as well as inspiring.

We had a brief and wonderful service followed by some brave people staying on line to have dinner “together”.

We have to do this again real soon.  This was a fun way to spend a Friday Night in Lock Down.

Second Seder 2021

April 21, 2021 Howard Community

What a wonderful evening with friends and family.  It was a collaborative effort to develop a Haggadah based on the miracle Haggadah.  With beautiful pictures, beautiful words and beautiful intent added, the Second Seder was a moving and enjoyable event.

Long time members, newer members, visitors and those new to Judaism were all able to participate and share and since we were ALL at home, we managed to actually finish the 4 glasses of wine without worrying about Drinking and Driving.  We also enjoyed the Singing of Alden Solvoy’s Hallel in a minor key with music by Sue Radner Horowitz.

Join us for our next service to see what it is all about.
