Fun N Games
The board has been working on the fall fundraiser for the past few months. We have decided to proceed with this fundraiser despite what has transpired in Israel and have decided to donate a portion of the money raised to go to Israel and the remainder to stay with BSvT to cover programs for 2024. We are pairing the fundraiser with a FUN AND GAMES AFTERNOON on Sunday, November 5 from 2-5pm.
There will be tables for mahjong, euchre, rummy cube, chess, cribbage, backgammon, CATAN and skip-bo along with “professional” instructors to teach, or just come to socialize. Please bring your children and grandchildren. The children’s activities will be supervised.
Included– snacks and dessert, a gift coupon for every family from Ajax’s best bakery, fabulous door prizes and a silent auction of vintage glassware and more. The winning tickets for all the raffle prizes and 50/50 draw will be picked that afternoon. (You don’t have to be present to win.) It all adds up to be FUN, something many of us may need at this time. Please RSVP.
Ron’s Birthday Party
Well I have to admit that Ron throws himself a pretty fun party. He supplied the games, the fun and the food. I really think everyone had a great time. He brought his little brother Jason who really seemed to be enjoying himself.
It was a marathon of games. The Karaoke was definitely a hit with the young kids and when was the last time you bobbed for apples? It was so nice to see everyone in person and a chance to meet new people and catch up with the existing friends.
I’m not sure how he is going to make it bigger for next year, but I’m looking forward to it.
