Prayer for Peace 2023
The Durham Multifaith Community 8th Annual Prayer for Peace Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 300 Dundas Street West in Whitby. The theme is “Think Globally, Act Locally”. B'Nai Shalom v'Tikvah will be representing the Jewish faith. Come for this quick service to see a variety of faith groups sharing their prayers.

Join us to celebrate Ron's 76th birthday at his Party room on Sunday afternoon. This is a family event with games, Karaoke, prizes and food. Presents not required although donations to the food bank or monetary donations to the Chai Speaker Fund are welcomed. Donations can be made by e-Transfer to bsvtajax@gmail.com for a tax receipt (over $30). Use chai as the password. Contact a board member if you do not know the address.

The July Minyan service will be held at the home of Howard and Charlene. Please join us for this Potluck dinner and Havdalah Service. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Harley discussing his recent trip to Israel. This is an indoor/outdoor event. Bring a chair just in case, but we should have enough. The August Minyan service will be held at the home of Nick and Valerie. Please join us for this Bring Your Own Picnic dinner around a campfire and a Havdalah Service. This is an outdoor event (because campfires don't do well indoors) so dress appropriately. Bring a chair if you like to sit. Welcome Back Service
This pre-High Holy Day service is intended to get us back in the flow and limber up our voices for the upcoming High Holy Days. Singing not mandatory, but come and say Hi to old friend and make some new ones. This is an in-person only service. We are also having a baby naming for some members who are coming back. A bissel bite will be provided after service for kiddush.
