We hope you are prepared to Zoom in for Purim on Monday, March 6th @ 7:30 pm. Should you choose, we’d enjoy seeing your Purim costume. However, this year you must also come prepared with some essentials:
1. A pencil and paper. Why? The Purim Quiz Master plans to put your Purim wisdom to the test.
2. The Three point Challenge: Come prepared with 3 clues to an answer that features the number three.
Example:
Clue 1: Our last names are Howard, Fine, Howard
Clue 2. One of us is definitely follically challenged.
Clue 3. People have difficulty taking us seriously.
( Answer: The Three Stooges )
3. Humming-tashens – Come prepared to hum a piece of music.
The music must either be from a worship service, a Purim melody or a piece of music written and performed by a Jewish musician.
After humming the music the congregant must be ready to give one clue to the title of the music.
Example: I will always be there for you.
Answer to the hummed tune: Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel.
Points will be awarded and the queen or king of Purim will be declared. Note, the Purim party is on Zoom only. (so your costume only has to be from the waist up).
So remember to read the whole megillah ( the Book of Esther ) and save the date.
Chag Sameach.
